Mexico City, 25 June 2015.– Looking to meet the daily needs of clients in a nice, fast, practical, and reliable way while at the same time creating social and financial value, OXXO incorporates a new service for mobile airtime recharge. Millions of people in Mexico can use this service to get in touch with family and friends living in the US and other countries.
CIERTO® is a new service known as Virtual Mobile Operator, which offers preferential rates for local and international calls and does not require fixed contract terms. This service operates in collaboration with Telefonica, which offers airtime recharge credits ranging from MX$20 to MX$200 and international calls from MX$0.59 per minute. It also offers appealing internet packages.
“With this new mobile service, OXXO looks to innovate with services and products that address the needs and comfort of our clients, looking to facilitate a reliable connection with family and friends in the United States or elsewhere in the world. We also stay true to the company’s strategy of offering consumers the most varied assortment of products and services, integrating the new realities from the telecomm sector,” said Asensio Carrión, Manager of Telephony, Services, and Cigarettes at OXXO.
“Thanks to CIERTO®, calling the world from Mexico is cheaper today and thanks to the proximity of OXXO’s stores to our clients, we make it easy for them to recharge their airtime, thus bringing Mexican families together in spite of borders,” said Victor Treviño, President of CIERTO®.
To use this service, prepay users must have an unblocked mobile with CIERTO®’s Superchip, you can request it for free via web at www.chipgratis.com. According to the new telecommunication provisions, mobile phone companies have the obligation to give people their code and unblock the devices free of charge, making it easy for the public to access this service. OXXO’s clients may only recharge airtime credit.
CIERTO® joins OXXO’s offering of airtime products from companies such as Telcel, Movistar, Nextel, Iusacell, Unefon, and Virgin Mobile. OXXO is not only broadening its diversified portfolio of services and products with this new service, it is also helping families keep in touch by recharging airtime credit in its stores with CIERTO®. Using this new option for mobile phones allows people to communicate with a great portion of the world at very affordable prices and, most importantly, without fixed-term contracts.
